My third fluency center is hot off the presses! This one is like Fluency Center: Sentence Shuffle #1, except this center has a fishing theme. This is perfect for summer school or a supplement to an ocean unit. Both fluency centers are played the same way, which should save class time because you won't have to explain the directions twice.
Both sentence shuffle centers come with:
2 pages of noun cards (there is a black and white version and a colored version)
2 pages of verb cards (there is a black and white version and a colored version)
2 pages of extra information cards (there is a black and white version and a colored version)
Students shuffle the cards and sort them into piles. They will sort by color in the colored version of the game and sort by pattern of the frame around the phrases in the black and white version. Students will put the cards on the sorting sheet (below).
Students will draw one card from each pile and make the phrases into a sentence. Sentences can be real or nonsense sentences. Students will read the sentence and then draw 3 more cards, read the sentence, and continue until all of the cards have been used in a sentence. If there is time, students may shuffle the cards and make more sentences. At the end, students will choose 3 sentences and write them on the page below:
There is a center sign:
A page with directions for the center is included:
Both centers are available at my TPT store. They cost $4.
