Mini-reader: What is in the box?

http://teach123-school.blogspot.com/

I just finished my second "Read & Draw" mini-reader.  Click on the picture to download your free copy.

This is an activity that could be used many different ways.  Have your students:

After reading the story, students can:
*Circle the word wall words
*Draw a green box around the first letter or word of a sentence.
*Draw a red box around the punctuation mark at the end of the sentence.
*Highlight the focus skill of the week such as all of the r-controlled vowels, blends, or digraphs.
*After reading the story, let your students be the illustrator.  They will need to use the details from the story in the picture.
*Answer the questions at the end of the story.
