Shrink a file: Tech Tip

http://teach123-school.blogspot.com/

Have you ever wanted to email a file and then found out your file exceeded the limit?  TPT sellers frequently get this message when they try to upload a file that is full of graphics.  It's frustrating, right?  You don't want to delete your graphics.   You spent a long time choosing the perfect ones for your lessons.  There is a solution!  It is called a quartz filter.

Step #1:  Save your file as a PDF.

Step #2:  Double click on your PDF doc. to open it in preview.

Step #3:  Click export

Step #4:  Click on "reduce file size"

Step #5:  Click on save.

That's it!  Pretty simple, right?

How do you get it to open as a "preview"? Mine just opens up Adobe so there is no "File -- Export"...and yes, I googled how before bothering you and couldn't find the answer. Thanks!

Melanie,
Do you have a MAC? When I double click on my PDF file it opens in preview.
