Spring - sight words and fluency lessons

Have your students caught spring fever yet?  I think I've caught it because I've been a busy bee making spring time activities.  Today I made a spring themed "Buggy for Reading" packet.  These activities are on the 1st grade (1.3) level.

Your students read these sentences during reading group time.  You rate their fluency during your group lesson.  Then the students take home the assignment for homework. The students' parents will rate their fluency the next two times.

The writing assignment can be used as a homework assignment, seat work, or as a center.

There are 51 word cards.  You can use these with your reading group or they can be made into a memory game.

The parent note explains the homework assignment to the parents.  Give the students a happy note when they return all of their reading assignments.

Reading level:  1.3
