Both of these pages can be used as a "get to know you" activities. Let students walk around the room and ask new friends to write their name on the first page. The second page encourages them to ask every student in the classroom their name and the length of it. Even shy students will be able to participate in this activity. This can be a little noisy so shut your door so you don't disturb your neighbors.

Students will shuffle these phrase cards, choose one from each of the different colored piles, and then read the sentence. The phrase cards will make real and nonsense sentences.
Students will strength their sentence building skills with this "Build It-Write It-Draw It" activity. Eight assignments are included.
