Celebrate Veterans Day with a play! Do your students enjoy Reader's Theater? This is a great way to strengthen your students' fluency skills and learn about Veterans Day.
You can use the signs above as name necklaces. Decorate them, attach yarn, and students can wear them when they present the play.
You can use the pictures as props. Students can draw pictures of themselves in the frames if you want to make stick puppets.
As an extension, have your students write to soldiers or sailors thanking them for their service. The page above is included that you can use for this assignment.
